MoRe SUmMeR FuN!

Summer continues to fly by and we are still having lots of fun!  I can't believe that school starts in just one month.  My kids definitely aren't ready, and I don't think I am yet.  (I know, I know, a month can make a huge difference...I'll probably feel different then.)  Here's what has been keeping us busy!

We took a tour of Ophir.  Thank to Niccole B. & her mom for guiding and to Lisa B. for arranging it all.  Ophir is  an old mining town out past Tooele.

Games at the gristmill...the boys vs.....

the girls.  I think the girls won...look how hard they are pulling.

Izzy on a pony ride at This is the Place State Park.  Once again, thank you Lisa B. for arranging this.

Cowboy Cole!

Cole found gold!  This had to be the highlight of This is the Place.  The kids spent at least a full hour doing this and would've spent more if we would've let them.

Train ride!

A nice walk with the Duersch family up at Rockport Estates.  We had a last minute change of location for our "camping" trip due to high flood waters at our original camp site.  Thanks G&G Desmond for letting us use the cabin.

The cabin deck the morning after the great sleep out.

Carter spent a lot of time with Uncle Dave.

Cole spent time with cousin Nate learning all his DS tricks.

Exhausted after helping mow the lawn.

In the cave at the Ogden Dinosaur Park.

Mom's cousin Abbey helping keep things in check at the Dinosaur Park.

Ready to walk in the Days of '47 children's parade.  (Isabel wasn't happy about having to look into the sun for a picture.)
