Carter

With Mom's aunt Karen Lynn on New Year's Eve. She was diagnosed with cancer about the same time Carter was born. The two share a special bond as they have both learned what it means to fight for their lives!

Chillaxin' in the tub!

Carter has spent the last month or so discovering his hands and feet.
His hands are constantly cold and wet from being in his mouth. He can have a ton of toys around him, but won't pay much attention to any of them unless they accidentally get stuck on his hand.
He likes his feet too and has started reaching for them also. However, they don't quite reach his mouth, so they aren't as entertaining as his hands. He loves his feet the most when he can splash them in the tub.
And, just this last Sunday he realized he didn't have to put up with "tummy time" anymore and started rolling from his belly to his back.

Isabel

With Uncle Cody & Aunt Tiffany after the recital! She was so excited about the flowers they brought her. For about a week after she had to have them sitting directly in front of her when she ate. She would stop playing just to admire them and tell me "I LOVE them!"

All decked out in her costume & make-up. She LOVED the lipstick!

Isabel has been taking her first dance lessons. She started in September and had her first recital in February. She is our little dancing queen. I personally think the 3 year old class is hilarious to watch. It seems that one little girl really knows what she is doing and the others just follow along.

Cole

Cole is the second kid from the left...yes, the shortest too!

I couldn't get him to hold still long enough to get a good picture.

In January, Cole participated in the 2nd grade Book Battle they hold at his school. At the start of the school year, the kids are given a list of around 15 books (some chapter/some picture) to read. In January the class is given a comprehension test on all the books. Those who score the highest on the test get to go on to the grade level book battle. The Book Battle is played somewhat like Jeopardy with the kids being given a statement and having to ring in and correctly answer with the title of one of the 15 books. Cole has been so excited for this. He has wanted to be in it since last year when he only got to be a spectator. Well, he made it to the final rounds and ended up taking 3rd place. He was so excited to get a certificate with his name on it and money to spend at the book fair this spring. However, the best part for him was the ice cream party the winners got to attend...he had the maximum bowlfuls of ice cream allowed...three!
