These are some pictures I took the other day while the kids were outside playing on the slip-n-slide. Izzy thought the water was better to drink than to play in. Cole was slippin' and slidin' like crazy and knocked his sister down with him a few times!
Just an update for everyone on Cole's neurology appointment. The MRI came back showing that the thinking part of the brain is just fine (not much of surprise to his parents), but the part that controls motor skills and emotions and other such things contains scar tissue. This scar tissue most likely came from the stress of his birth. The good news is that is doesn't get any worse. In fact, with physical therapy to loosen his tight muscles and some time, the brain will actually retrain itself to work with the scar tissue instead of against it. We go later this month to visit with the physical therapist for the first time.
