Okay, so I really stink at this whole "keeping up on the blog" thing. Maybe I should make it a New Year's Resolution to do better at this. (I'll have to ponder that one and decide how dedicated I really feel like being.)
Life continues to go on as "normal" as we get here. We've made it through the first part of the cold months with only a few minor illnesses. Cole and Izzy both had croup and Carter had double ear infections all in the middle of November. We had a rash of "pinkalicious" medicine around here. (That would be amoxicillin to anyone besides Izzy.)
Carter (at 6 months old) finally passed his newborn hearing screens. YAY! The Dr. can see a little residual fluid in his ears, but hopefully it will drain on it's own before the need for tubes comes. We were grateful for the results.
Cole and Isabel are adjusting to Carter being home, and Carter is adjusting to them. Sometimes I wonder if he wishes he could go back in an isolette so he could have some peace and quiet. Poor kid! Oh well, guess he'll learn to sleep through nearly anything.
Our kids are excited for Christmas. Cole has a hefty list this year including a Nintendo DSi plus games to go with it, a kinect for the Xbox, and a bunch of other expensive stuff. And yes, he's only 7. Isabel's list is a lot more budget friendly and includes only two things; a sing-a-ma-jig and a Mrs. Potato Head. Carter doesn't really "need" anything, and his wants pretty much are covered by eating and sleeping. I'm sure Santa will think of something he just can't live without.
Jarad celebrates his birthday tomorrow. We are actually leaving all three kids for the first time since having Carter and are going to try to catch a movie. (Thanks Mom!) I'm a little uneasy about this and just might be that lady who texts throughout the entire movie to be sure everything is okay!
As usual, I've added a few pictures so you have something nice to look at...okay, so maybe it isn't all nice, but it's something to look at.
